Yes — in Texas, you can apply a clear or very light ceramic film to the Tesla windshield that rejects heat and UV without reducing visible light transmission. We use a 70% VLT ceramic film on the windshield that is virtually invisible but blocks 80%+ of infrared heat. This is especially valuable on the Model X, which has the largest windshield of any production vehicle.

Is windshield tint legal in Texas?
Yes. Texas allows any tint on the windshield as long as it does not reduce VLT below 25% in the AS-1 line area. We use 70% VLT film that is fully legal and virtually undetectable.
Will windshield tint affect my Tesla's rain sensors?
No. Our ceramic windshield film is applied below the sensor area and does not interfere with rain sensors, Autopilot cameras, or the forward-facing radar.
