A lifted Ford Excursion is already a presence on the road — we made it unforgettable. This custom two-tone wrap on a lifted Excursion was one of the most complex truck wraps we've executed at Sleepr Studio. The lift kit, custom bumpers, and aftermarket fender flares completely changed the vehicle's geometry from the factory template, meaning every section had to be custom-measured and hand-trimmed on the vehicle. We used a combination of 3M 1080 Matte Black for the lower body panels and Avery Dennison gloss white for the upper body — a two-tone split that follows the body line and creates a clean, intentional look. The matte black lower panels hide road grime and give the truck a rugged, purposeful appearance, while the gloss white upper body keeps it clean and visible. Every panel was heat-formed around the lift kit hardware, custom bumpers, and aftermarket fender flares. The result is a truck that looks like it was designed this way from the factory.
The Process
Geometry Assessment
The lift kit, custom bumpers, and fender flares changed the vehicle geometry significantly from factory. Every panel was measured on the vehicle — no off-the-shelf templates.
Two-Tone Design Planning
The body line split between matte black lower and gloss white upper was planned to follow the natural body crease. The split line was marked on the vehicle before any film was cut.
Lower Body — Matte Black
3M 1080 Matte Black applied to all lower body panels. Each section hand-trimmed around the lift kit hardware and fender flare mounting points.
Upper Body — Gloss White
Avery Dennison gloss white applied to all upper body panels. The two-tone split line was maintained consistently across all panels.
Custom Bumper Sections
The custom front and rear bumpers required completely custom-cut sections. Each bumper section was wrapped individually and heat-formed to the bumper geometry.
Why It Matters
A lifted Excursion with a custom wrap is a statement vehicle — it's meant to be noticed. The two-tone design adds visual interest and makes the truck look intentional rather than modified. The wrap also protects the paint on a vehicle that sees off-road use and road debris. 3M 1080 and Avery Dennison films are both rated for 5+ years of outdoor durability.
