El Proceso
Electronics Mapping
The GLE has radar sensors, cameras, and antennas integrated into the glass and pillars. We mapped all sensor locations before cutting any film to ensure no coverage over active sensor zones.
Glass Cleaning
All glass surfaces cleaned with ammonia-free solution, scraped, and IPA-wiped. The GLE's large rear glass requires extra care to ensure complete contamination removal.
Rear Glass Installation
The GLE's rear glass has a significant curve. Film was applied wet, heat-shrunk to conform to the curvature, and squeegeed from center outward.
Front Door Glass
Front door glass installed at 35% — lighter than rear to maintain visibility and legal compliance. Each piece cut to template and applied with precision.
Cure & Delivery
Owner briefed on 3-day cure period. No window rolling, no car washes for 72 hours after installation.

The GLE's large glass area is both a feature and a liability in Texas heat. Without tint, the cabin heats up rapidly and the leather interior is exposed to UV radiation that causes fading and cracking over time. XPEL XR Plus ceramic film addresses both issues — dramatically reducing cabin heat and blocking 98% of UV radiation. The non-metallic ceramic construction ensures zero interference with the GLE's electronics.
